TFSUI Organizes Black History Film Festival

Thursday Film Series Club, University Of Ibadan, a collective of movie enthusiasts within the city of Ibadan is bringing a week long  Black History Film Festival to the University of Ibadan from the 23rd to the 29th of April, 2018.

If you are within Ibadan or its environs that week, then you should come and have a great time meeting Film enthusiasts from  within and outside Ibadan as well as fellow creatives and people with interest in visual Arts. Participants will also will have the opportunity to enjoy the best of films and documentaries about Africa and black history, featuring the best black filmmakers and actors from all around the world. But it is not only film enthusiasts who should be at the event, if you are an activist or you are interested in social activism then join the  panel discussions on topical issues  moderated by seasoned academics and social justice activists. If you enjoy music, you will have the opportunity listen to the best musical bands in the city of Ibadan and beyond at the  festival concerts. If you are a poet or a writer, there will be open mic poetry sessions for you to participate in, and share your work in front of a wide audience. The Black History Film Festival will also feature an art exhibition for artists who want to show their creativity to the world.

Black History Film Festival will take place at the Institute of African Studies, Faculty of Arts Theatre. It will start by  4:00pm on Monday the 23rd of April, but by 1 pm on subsequent days.
