If You are in Ibadan on Friday the 20th of April 2018, you should join other people of like minds for the Walk for Autism, a trek, in commemorating National Autism Awareness Month (celebrated in April every year) to raise awareness about the condition of Autism, how to recognize it, and how you can help people affected by the condition.
Autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. It is called Autism Spectrum Disorder because it is not one single condition but many types, caused by different combinations of genetic and environmental influences.
The walk will start at the main gate of the University of Ibadan by 8:00am and will end out at Oluyole Chesire Home, Sango-Eleyele Road, Ibadan. The dress code for the event is Blue.
