Events: The Ibadan Youth Leadership Summer Camp

This August, Young African Diplomats Network* in collaboration with the United States Diplomatic Mission, American Corner Ibadan and Diplo-Age Finishing Academy is bringing a Youth Leadership Summer Camp to the city of Ibadan.

The summer camp is a 1-week non-residential camp for up to 50 youths and teenagers (ages 13-21). it is for young persons who want to increase their leadership skills, develop deep self-awareness, develop a positive self-image and have their voices heard as young emerging leaders. Youth participate in hands-on, decision-making activities assisted by trained facilitators, including youth mentors, and camp directors.This summer camp will also give young people the opportunity to learn about themselves, youth assets, leadership skills, goal setting, teamwork, communication, creative problem solving, innovation etc)

The camp will start on Monday the 21st of August to Saturday the 26th of  August 2017 at the United States Diplomatic Mission, American Corner Ibadan, Library Resource Centre Beside Booksellers, 54 Magazine Road, Jericho Ibadan from 9am-3pm daily.

During the Day-Camp, adolescents and young adults will have access to a community of caring mentors who provide experiential education that leads to self-respect and appreciation for life. All of the outcomes—friendships, overcoming challenges, staying healthy and building character— prepare them for bigger, brighter lives down the road. Further more, The 1-week day-camp is specifically designed to empower our campers and unlock their potential to become leaders. After the camp, youth-participants will have the privilege of being mentored towards attaining success in their unique career paths.

 For a  camp fee of ten thousand naira (10,000 NGN) for early registration, and  twenty thousand naira (20,000) for late registration, Participants at the summer camp will have a great summer filled with activities like
