If you are in Ibadan this weekend, then you should be part of a Technology, Entertainment, and Design (TED) event, TEDMokola, coming up in Ibadan on Friday the 25th of August 2017 by 11am
TEDMokola is organized as part of the global TED events that support the spirit of ideas worth spreading, and it is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At TEDMokola, talk videos and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
According to the curator of TEDMokola, Taiwo Adeyemi:
“Our goal is to bring together bright minds to give talks that are idea focused, and on a wide range of subjects, to foster learning, inspiration, and wonder – and provoke discussions that matter.
TedMokola will take place at Wennovation Hub, 2nd Floor, CarlCare Building, Queen Elizabeth Road, Mokola, Ibadan and the theme for this year’s edition is “Throwback to the Future” the intention of the event is to exemplify archaic trends in arts, fashion, technology, science, finance, education, music etcetera that are gaining fresh acceptance in the new world. 100 young individuals and forward thinkers from different works of life – male and female from the Ibadan community and beyond are expected to be at the event.
